Silence. Grasses. (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Elena Sanina

A painting from the “Grasses” series.

It depicts a serene winter scene, where dry grasses pierce through the soft blanket of snow. The use of delicate, muted colours creates a tender, almost ethereal atmosphere that invites contemplation. Subtle strokes of blue, white, and earthy tones blend seamlessly, evoking a quiet, frozen landscape bathed in the light of dawn or the fading glow of sunset.
The grasses stand tall, their fragile forms casting long, mysterious shadows across the snow-covered ground. These shadows add depth to the composition while hinting at hidden stories beneath the surface. Though their outlines are faint, their shapes suggest movement — a whisper of life lingering amid the winter stillness.
The painting radiates a sense of calm and delicate beauty, capturing both the enduring strength of nature and the fleeting moments of transition between seasons. Its understated elegance and dreamlike quality make it a deeply evocative work — one that leaves room for interpretation and reflection.
