Signs in the void (2026) Original Mixed-media Painting by Ivana Urso

In this work, emptiness does not represent an absence, but a space of possibility. White expands like a suspended space, silent and open, where the material thins until traces, signs, and memories emerge.
The dark lines cross the surface like essential writing, fragments of a story not yet finished. Blue emerges from the depths of the material, evoking the sky, water, and distance: elements that belong to both the external and internal landscape.
"Signs in the Void" invites the observer to linger in a dimension of quiet and contemplation, where what appears incomplete becomes an opportunity to listen. Each sign is a presence, each white space a threshold to be crossed. The work does not offer answers, but rather opens a space of personal resonance, where each person can rediscover their own path, their own horizon.
