Sightseer I explores the experience of observing London through layers of memory, movement and time. Blending the city's contemporary skyline with the iconic dome of St Paul's Cathedral, the work combines architectural forms, abstract textures and silhouetted figures into a dreamlike urban landscape. Warm ochre tones contrast with cool blues, suggesting the meeting of London's historic past and evolving present. Rather than documenting the city, Sightseer I reflects on how places are remembered, experienced and continually reimagined through the act of looking.
