Recent work using film stills. This painting is inspired by the film The Third Man. I played the film using a grainy VHS tape and liked the slightly degraded image. It gave quite a different quality compared to more high end technology. As such I think it references a more dream-like or remembered landscape. It is also the space of mystery, of searching.
