Color pencils on paper
In my work, the seamstress is now sewing herself, clumsily assembling, exhausted and almost resigned, the fragments of her own self in an attempt to fulfill all the roles she has taken on. The mirror could reveal the woman’s true form; however, she hides behind a lamp—an image drawn from my personal visual vocabulary, which is connected to the revelation, or concealment, of the subconscious.
