This small painting was created from life. I was drawn to the shop window of a local sewing atelier, where mannequins and dresses formed an unusual harmony of colours—red, green, silver, and yellow. The bright display stood out against the quiet grey façade of the building, creating a combination that immediately caught my attention.
The arrangement in the window was fleeting and never appeared the same again, so I am glad I captured this moment. It is a spontaneous urban sketch that preserves the charm of an ordinary scene.
