Sentinel (2026) Original Collage by Roseanne Jones

Sentinel is an original paper collage artwork capturing the quiet strength and enduring presence of a solitary tree standing against a softly layered landscape.

Created in a restrained black and white palette, the work combines a photographic tree image with richly textured mixed media surfaces. Layers of delicate, crumpled texture create an atmospheric sky above the dark, detailed foreground, giving the piece a sense of age, fragility and the passage of time.

The lone tree becomes a silent guardian within the landscape—a sentinel, standing watch through changing seasons and weather. Both dramatic and contemplative, this artwork explores themes of solitude, resilience and endurance.

Its neutral monochrome palette and tactile surface make Sentinel a striking addition to a contemporary, minimalist or modern interior.
