"Second Chance" (2026) Original Oil Painting by Nina Grigel

This work is inspired by James Turrell's architectural installation at the Fundación NMAC museum in Cádiz. By introducing my own compositional changes and adding a figure to the scene, I imbue the piece with the idea of redemption. The meaning of the painting is that a person is always capable of breaking free from the darkness of the past and beginning the journey anew — one only needs to head toward the light.
