Original artwork description
This painting was inspired by my recent visit to Scott Creek Beach in the Davenport area north of Santa Cruz. The beach is right next to Highway 1. Scott Creek runs into the ocean at the north end of the beach. I was facing the south end, where Molino Creek crosses the beach. I was intrigued by the shapes and colors of shadows crossing all the swirls and curves created by the creek.
Materials used to create this artwork: oil on oil primed linen on archival Centurion DLX panel. The painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish. The painting is unframed, and it will require a frame to hang on the wall. It will easily fit in a standard 8"x10" frame. Images showing the painting framed in home interiors are for presentation of potential framing ideas only. Frame is not included.
