Original artwork description
There are infinite number of designs in nature and surroundings. It is a purest of pleasures to explore and convert them into paintings. I have tried to illustrate the effect of light in impressionistic colours. This landscape is 'plein air' painting done in Sarnath, India.
Sarnath is one of the four most important Buddhist pilgrimage centres of India. Buddha, the great sage, after attaining enlightenment (Buddha-hood) at Bodh Gaya came to Sarnath and delivered his first sermon to five disciples (i.e. Kaundinya, Bashpa, Bhadrika, Mahanaman and Ashvajit) for redeeming humanity. It is this place where foundation of a new order of monks (Sangha) and a new order of religious doctrine (Dhamma) was laid.
This is a one of a kind painting, unique creation by me, Snehal Page. I sign my paintings on the front, This painting includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
This high quality water colour painting is done on a 200gsm Aquarelle paper using Winsor & Newton Cotman water colours.
