Sailor (2026) Linocut by Mariann Johansen-Ellis
50.8 x 68.58cm (unframed) / 40.64 x 55.88cm (actual image size)
£124.05
Artwork description
Sailing the oceans, the waves, the wind, the girls and of course, the tattoos!
I have printed the sailor on a piece of vintage sea chart that features part of the inland coast of Denmark, viking waters.
All my linocuts are handprinted by me, the artist,
and I sign, title and number each print.
This print is numbered as a monoprint, as each chart is different, you receive this very print. The charts I use are all well used, I think that adds to the print, thinking that people have used them to navigate, so there is wear and tear. I do print more of this Sailor.
The linocut itself measures 16" x 22", (41cm x 56cm )
and the beautiful piece of map
measures approx 20" x 27", (50cm x 70cm)
Linocuts are wonderful graphic pieces of printmaking, that can make for a real focal point in your room, you are so welcome to ask me about framing advice etc.
I ship from my studio in Denmark, fully tracked, DDP for US customers, within 3 days, with many years experience in packing my art so it arrives safely, see my 1000+ happy reviews.
Thanks for looking and welcome back.
