    textile collages

    I create the collages from my own handprinted fabrics, part I print from dried real plants, and part from my own linocuts printed on fabric. I then free motion embroider over the entire image. These collages are close to my heart, I feel like I follow in the footsteps of so many women working in textiles, it feels like I have good company on my journey!

    The sailor is a linocut, the collage is made with all handprinted fabrics, with my own linocuts and embroidered and the guinefowl are an aquatint etching.

    lots and lots of fabrics has to be printed to make up the linocut collages, in all colors, and all patterns, I love the smell of inks in the studio, feeling very content when there is a whole new batch of textiles all ready to be cut up!
