    It can be very messy to be a printmaker, always ink under the nails, ink on almost every piece of clothing I own, but I don't mind, I love inking a new plate..... prickly pears, soon in my shop!!

    reminds me of that joke, did you ever hear that, about the Panda? It is fun to print with real leaves.... here I am using some eucalyptus leaves, as they are quite leather like so they don't break up when rolled up. It is very messy work though as I roll up, turn over, roll again, turn over again etc etc....

    I am aquatinting my new lemon tree, and it is going quite well, hard work and many hours are spent on getting the right tones, it is a very traditional method of toning a copper plate and just love the way it looks.

    Year of the Rooster 2017

    Year of the Rooster 2017

    a linocut to celebrate year of the Rooster coming up soon..... the model is my mums black rooster, that she calls "Big Boy" (yes, seriously , her english is not great ,0)) and of course, it is rather fitting I think, considering he has a harem.... so who am I to correct her when it is so funny!!
