A Small Universe is still a Universe (2026) Monoprint by Mariann Johansen-Ellis

Even small things have their own worlds, home to many small things, small does not mean nothing, it means a universe in miniature.

I have first printed my mushrooms on to the bright white paper, I have then added in ink, the leaves both in black and green and the insects. All these details took me hours of painstaking work, and last I added the colored pencil both to leaves and mushroom caps. All the details might be a bit hard to see on my photos, there is a lot of detail.

I have signed the monoprint (only this one print) on the front and add the title and 1 of 1 on the back.
a Small Universe measures 50cm x 70 cm (20" x 27") and there is a small white surround for it to be framed.
I ship from my studio in Denmark, DDP to the US, with many years experience in packing my work so it arrives safely, see my many happy reviews.
