Rosé (2026) Original Oil Painting by Liza Illichmann
40 x 60 x 1.8cm (unframed)
£513.3
Original artwork description
This painting was inspired by a trip we took to the French Riviera, and a piece of local advice we will never forget.
While we were enjoying the coast, a local man gave us a friendly warning:
"Be very careful with the rosé here. It’s so light and refreshing that it drinks just like water - but it’s a trap!"
In France, they jokingly call rosé un vin traître (a treacherous wine). Because it's served ice-cold on a hot day, it goes down incredibly easy. It looks beautiful, tastes like summer fruit, and then - before you know it - it completely knocks you off your feet.
It’s a visual toast to a great memory, slow summer days, and a wine that’s just a little bit mischievous.
