The main inspiration for this work is reflection on the timelessness of beauty and nature, and how they intersect with the human experience. The fact that the portrait is partly hidden by the flower is meant to suggest one moment among another. I was inspired by the ephemeral beauty of poppies, a symbol of life and rebirth, and the mysterious presence of the human figure, which represents the connection and continuity of time. The use of vintage portrait with a personal photo creates a bridge between past and present, and the combination of natural and human elements in one composition reflects the relationship between humans and the environment in an intrinsic and unbreakable bond. The edge of the 3.5 cm canvas is painted with the color of slightly metallic copper, so it can also be left unframed.
