I made this work in 2005 on a wooden frame, I spread the base of plaster and glue and I formed a material layer on which I later melted different colors, ocher green and blue that mixing together formed a very elegant base .
I drew the sketch of the fantasy portrait with chalk and only later did I start painting with oil colors.
I use oil color by overlapping many very thin layers of suitably diluted color to create the effects I want.
I made a fictional portrait of a man, I painted only a part of the face, leaving the viewer the pleasure of imagining it complete.
I wanted to portray a man who looked me directly in the eye and listened attentively, when I painted this work I was just preparing the exhibition dedicated to Picasso and I remember that I was looking for myself, and I did not understand if my art could make a difference .
The work is provided with a white frame.
The work is signed on the front and back and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity
for non-EU shipments, it is necessary to wait for authorization from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and this could lead to a delay of a few days
