Two rings, joined into each other.

I wanted to create a work with strong geometries but at the same time organic as a symbolic expression of duality. Two different rings, one with a splintered, rough texture and the other with a smooth, soft surface.

The rings are different, but it is in the difference that they find their union. Rings are also a symbol of couple, the number two, the double.

It is an abstract work, where there is fullness and there is emptiness, it can be placed on a flat surface, in various ways, having different points of support, so as to highlight a particular point of view, an angle or one of the rings.

Technical Sheet
The work is carved from a block of limestone coming from Majella quarry montain in the beautiful region of Italy. Small pieces of stone are fixed on one ring. The stone I used is quite soft and with the characteristic of hardening externally over time to form a harder external layer.
The work will be packed appropriately, with care and attention.
