In "Relax", Antonino Puliafico explores sea, coast and the movement of water in an original oil painting on canvas. Measuring 115 × 100 cm and dated 2025, the work balances immediate visual impact with close-range surface detail.
The painting develops through palette knife, allowing the physical texture of the paint to remain central to the image.
In Relax, Antonino Puliafico transforms a natural corner into a flowing interplay of color and light. Dense, vibrant palette-knife strokes recreate the weave of vegetation mirrored on the water, where greens, yellows, violets, and blues chase each other across the surface.
