Original artwork description
For three years in a row, I was painting Vermeer's "Milkmaid" with watercolour. For me it was an incredible wonder and inspiration to see how this masterpiece opens up in a watercolour interpretation. I hardly made any sketches - I liked to play by ear, intuitively selecting the combination of colours and shapes. It was a great, meditative time of diving deeper into myself and into creative process.
Materials used:
Watercolour on thick paper
Details:
- Watercolour on Paper
- One of a kind artwork
- Size: 32.5 x 41cm (unframed)
- Signed on the front
- Style: Impressionistic
- Subject: People and portraits
