I present to you my cubist-expressionist still life which captures a relaxed, bohemian atmosphere full of sensual pleasures and well-being. The scene seems like a snapshot from a café, bar or art studio. The dominant feature of the painting is a guitar, which symbolizes music, creativity and passion. Around it are spread the attributes of a pleasantly spent time – a glass of wine, an ashtray with a smoldering cigarette. The entire composition evokes the melancholy of ballads, but also the warmth of human encounters and the joy of life, joie de vivre. The author combines warm tones of orange and bright pink in the background of the guitar with cool shades of turquoise and deep blue in the corners. These color contrasts give the still life inner tension and a strong positive radiance.
