Reflected Fire is part of my ongoing Water Reflections series, where I explore the relationship between light, colour and movement on water.

The painting captures a moment when the sun meets an intense red horizon. Warm orange and red tones are reflected across the cool blue surface of the sea, creating a strong contrast between fire and water.

The reflection is not presented as a perfect mirror. It breaks apart with the movement of the waves, becoming something fluid and constantly changing.

I am drawn to these moments when nature holds two seemingly opposite qualities at once — warmth and coolness, energy and stillness, intensity and calm.

Painted in oil with expressive palette-knife marks, the surface is built through layers of colour and movement.
