Red Thoughts (2026) Original Clay Sculpture by Sol Vil

26 x 31 x 15cm

£948.2

A coil-built sculpture of imposing ovoid form, in which a chromatic gradient — from deep, visceral red at the top to pale blush at the base — traces the heat of thought as it radiates from the mind downward through the body. The twisted neck and irregular opening evoke a mind under pressure, straining to release what ferments within, while the undulating surface texture mirrors the layered, restless rhythm of thought itself. An work that transforms the ancient material of terracotta into a visual metaphor for inner experience: thought as a physical, thermal force — one that warms, unsettles, and quietly dismantles the self.
