Ran up in spring (2024) Original Watercolour by Anisony Studios

Rich phthalo blue pools against warm burnt sienna and pops of magenta with touches of black adding punch and definition. This piece grew out of a plein air painting session at Porthdinllaen earlier this year and reworked in the studio to let the colour move more freely than the original plein air allowed. The contrast has real presence well suited to a room where you want a piece with some depth and character rather than something to fade into the background.
All my works are produced using the highest quality materials, the medium is Saunders Waterford 140lb 100% cotton paper and the pigments are professional Winsor & Newton or Holbein lightfast paint.
