Quiet_222 is an acrylics and paint markers painting on canvas. "Stacked" transparent layers create depth and fine detail by contrasting fine line work with organic and geometric shapes at different levels. As such, the eyes can wander around and explore different pictorial elements, while the different layers are optically combined into a harmonious composition. The background starts with elements of architectural design, while towards the foreground, layers become increasingly abstract. The painting takes inspiration from constructivism and Bauhaus paintings, as well as minimalist nordic and japanese graphic design to create a peaceful sensation.
