The predominately pastel media was applied to the figure and fixed to prevent smudging and the background is painted with acrylic, however, it should be framed with a mount under glass. A suggested frame width of at least 60mm or more for this size painting. Narrow frames on large Studland art board paintings have tendency to not sit well and have a habit of warping.
