This artwork is dedicated to the beauty of the orchid — a flower that fascinates me with its intricate structure, delicate colour transitions, and countless small details.

I painted it in layers of watercolour, gradually building the pink and purple tones of the petals, their delicate veins, and the distinctive pattern at the centre of the flower. I wanted to capture not only the visual beauty of the orchid, but also the intricate details of its natural structure.

As with my other botanical artworks, this painting was created through careful observation of the plant — its form, colour, and smallest details.
