I work in painting—primarily acrylic and mixed media on canvas, with drawing and occasional collage elements. Color, layered surface, and line are the materials I use to explore botanical forms.
My work presents flowers enlarged and abstracted so that their physical structure and emotional presence become interchangeable. I’m interested in how petals, stamens, and shadow can function as registers of time and feeling: fragile membranes that also exert shape and movement. Gardens, botanical studies, and the language of modern abstraction inform my visual vocabulary; color relationships and decisive marks drive the composition.
