Absolute tranquility. Complete silence. I sit somewhere and my eyes are closed. I hear birds singing. They talk to me. I am the time. I am eternity. I am everything and nothing. I dissolve in the rustle of the wind. I'm dreaming.
The painting immerses the viewer in a state of inner stillness and delicate equilibrium. The figure appears both physical and dissolved into the surrounding space—as if the person is gradually becoming part of the natural environment. The green hue evokes a sense of humid air, growth, sleep or meditation. The white birds overhead are perceived as a symbol of liberation, thought or spiritual movement. There is a sense of vulnerability in the work, but without drama — rather a quiet acceptance and a striving for harmony between one’s inner state and the world around.
This painting was made using acrylic and oil paints. There are small textures in the picture. This picture is ready to hang. The edges of the painting are painted over and this painting does not need a frame. The glossy surface of the painting has little specular reflection.
