Paradox is one of my favourite pieces. It was inspired by listening to the local foxes calling in the night. The moon and night sky have been painted with irredescent medium over gold leaf and as a result they have a beautiful, unique shimmer. This piece is called Paradox because of its impossibility. This is what I love most about painting, being able to portray and idea and concept without worrying about the possibility of it.
