Paradise (2026) Original Oil Painting by Debbie Young

Inspired by the tranquility of the sea, gentle breeze, palm trees, beach and soft sand, this painting Paradise was created using alkyd oils on cotton canvas. It has been a pleasure to paint. Especially so because I live in South West Scotland where much of the summer can be chilly, wet and blowing a hoolie! Painting this in the midst of summer with more wet windy days than summer sunshine was a therapy for me. It took me to another world.
