Captured during the summer among the rolling hills of the Val d’Orcia in Tuscany, this photograph is part of my exploration of landscape beyond representation. Rather than documenting a specific place, I sought to translate the atmosphere, light, and rhythm of the countryside into a more emotional and painterly language.

Using intentional camera movement, I transformed the fields and distant hills into flowing layers of color and texture. The warm earth tones of the cultivated land blend with the soft blues of the horizon, creating a scene suspended between memory and perception. The landscape dissolves into a dreamlike composition where form gives way to sensation.

In Painted Dream #2, I am interested in the moment when photography approaches painting, when the camera becomes a tool not only for recording reality but also for expressing the fleeting impressions that a place can leave behind. The image reflects my personal experience of the Tuscan summer landscape—its quiet beauty, its vastness, and its ever-changing light—reimagined as an abstract visual memory.
