“Only this moment” (2026) Original Oil Painting by Alena Panchishin

This original oil painting captures the moment a drop of water touches the surface, creating a delicate splash surrounded by expanding circular ripples. Deep teal and emerald-green tones form the background, while luminous turquoise and white reflections emphasize the movement and transparency of the water.

The circular waves create a sense of rhythm and continuity, drawing the viewer towards the centre of the composition. Subtle variations in colour and light reveal the depth beneath the surface, transforming a simple natural moment into an expressive study of movement.

The painting reflects the idea that every change begins with a single touch. Through this contemporary water artwork, I invite the viewer to pause, observe and appreciate the quiet beauty of the smallest moments.
