On My Mind #03
This sculpture takes a recognisable human form and combines it with architectural elements, but the proportions and arrangement deliberately move away from anything literal. The result is a hybrid form that can be read in different ways depending on how you look at it.
The work comes from the same process behind On My Mind: observing familiar surroundings, allowing them to enter the imagination, and then letting the sculpture develop through making rather than trying to reproduce what was originally seen.
The head was designed digitally and 3D printed in high-quality resin before being hand-processed. Metal elements were then incorporated to complete the sculpture.
