On My Mind #01
This sculpture grew from an exploration of what happens when familiar elements of the built environment become part of the human form. A head becomes a kind of landscape, with architectural forms emerging from it rather than simply sitting on top of it.
The work is part of On My Mind, a series developed from everyday observation and the gradual accumulation of visual memories. I was interested in transforming something recognizable into something slightly unexpected, leaving the viewer to decide whether they are looking at a person, a building, a landscape, or all three at once.
The head was designed digitally and 3D printed in high-quality resin, then carefully hand-processed to refine the surface and finish. Metal elements complete the sculpture.
