Original artwork description:

As an architect, I have a certain affinity for old buildings with interesting shapes, even in a deteriorated condition. The colors and arrangements in this painting were actually taken from some old pieces of rusty steel, masonry and concrete.
Liberated from their original form, these details expose moments of everyday life that tap into the viewer’s mind. Complementing the expressiveness of the figurative works are the artist's simplified abstractions of shape, color and the containment of light.
This work perhaps also explores changes that relates to the ever-progressing irrepressive, and linear changes that occur both in our built environment and in the nature of our own lives. Through the use of visual elements, the work explores the temporal and fragile nature of our lives as individuals taking part in a collective/codependent existence.
Old Construction Triptych is a one of a kind original work of art. It is produced using India ink and acrylic paint on 5 mil archival grade mylar mounted on tempered masonite. I have stayed with my usual pallet of warm “earthy” colors.
I only sell original work so there will only be one original.
The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
This paintings will be ready to hang, out of the box. They will be mounted on tempered masonite with a two inch wide painted border. It will have a hanging strip on the back and I include two “monkey hooks” for easy attachment to your wall. It can be on your wall within five minutes.
