Original artwork description
Ocean Loop
Ocean Loop is an original abstract painting by Edelgard Schroer, inspired by the continuous movement of water, currents and ocean waves. A sweeping circular form moves across the wide canvas like a powerful current, creating a sense of depth, rhythm and endless motion.
Layers of turquoise, teal and deep blue are combined with white highlights and luminous gold accents. The heavily textured surface gives the central loop an almost sculptural quality, while raised structures catch the light and make the artwork appear different from every viewing angle. Darker passages add contrast and guide the eye through the flowing composition.
Painted with acrylic and mixed media on stretched canvas, Ocean Loop has overpainted side edges and can be displayed without a frame. The long horizontal format works beautifully above a sofa, where the ocean-inspired movement creates a calm but distinctive focal point. Over a sideboard, the turquoise tones introduce freshness and visual depth. On a large wall, the textured composition unfolds as a contemporary statement piece without making the room feel restless.
Ocean Loop is created for collectors who appreciate blue abstract art, textured painting and contemporary artwork with a natural sense of movement.
