Original artwork description
As an artist, sometimes I get stuck creatively coming up with a feeling or an idea for a painting. A practice I like to implement is working on a cityscape or a self portrait when this moment arrives. When I moved to NYC it was just after 9/11 and the Freedom Towers had not yet been built. The main points of reference of our cities features were that of the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. This was my first painting of NYC as seen from Queens.
