Original artwork description:

Nora is based on Henrik Ibsen's drama "A Doll's House". The main character Nora experiences in her marriage the narrowness of a dollhouse, in which all decisions are made by her husband. In the course of the drama she realizes her life situation and draws the consequences by leaving her husband. The domestic romantic situation appears in the picture with the collage of floral fabric, Nora sits tensely expectant an waits for the decisions of her husband. It is the calm before the storm, the rebellion is palpable - only the rich moment has to give the initial spark. Nora is on the go - the dark glaze justifies this step into the unknown.

Materials used:

acryl, oil
