Original artwork description:

On a very grey day, in January, the evening was a treat: foggy and quiet, just the way I like it. After a long walk through the park and observing the quiet lake (while feeding ducks) I quickly came home and tried to recreate the scene, while fresh in my memory.

The lamp posts on the other side of the lake were fighting the fog, spreading a yellowish glow onto the path underneath, the trees behind them and stretching reflections onto the still water of the lake. The stillness was almost complete.

This oil painting is the result.
