No Name (2013) Original Oil Painting by Alexander Levich

Alexander Levich’s No Name captures a snowy landscape at the point where familiar details begin to fade. Bare trees stand close to the viewer, their trunks and branches crossing a broad field of pale grey. In the distance, faint architecture and tiny yellow lights suggest life continuing behind the snow.

The painting was exhibited among the works titled Weekend, a series rooted in a true romantic story. One November evening, snow transformed the view within an hour, creating the feeling that the surrounding world had disappeared and only two loved ones remained together.

Levich carries that experience into the landscape through softened edges, restrained colour and generous space. The large horizontal canvas allows the trees to establish a gentle rhythm, while the almost concealed background rewards slower looking.
