No Fixed Point — Original Abstract Painting
No Fixed Point is an original contemporary abstract painting from Daria Vergina's Not a Place series, exploring the feeling of moving through life without a single fixed point of reference.
The composition brings together deep natural black, soft grey, warm sand, ivory, and muted turquoise. Heavy geometric forms appear to shift against one another, while thin, almost fragile lines cross the surface like traces of movement or invisible boundaries.
A vivid turquoise line runs between several of the darker forms, creating a subtle connection without completely unifying the composition. There is a sense of movement, interruption, and instability as if the elements are continuously searching for their place.
The work reflects on the experience of transition: when an old point of orientation no longer feels permanent, while a new one has not yet emerged.
Rather than depicting a physical landscape, No Fixed Point presents an inner landscape of uncertainty, movement, and change.
Its sophisticated palette of charcoal black, stone grey, sandy beige, ivory, and muted turquoise works particularly well in contemporary, minimalist, Scandinavian, and architectural interiors.
