I created this diptych while seeking to capture the exact moment a form emerges from silence — that threshold between mineral and living matter. For me, abstract painting is a dialogue with materials: I let the ink and water find their own path across the gesso, and I follow.
I begin with a thick layer of gesso to build texture and relief. I then let ink and water merge freely, forming these translucent organic structures in violet, indigo and ash grey. Layers of watercolour, acrylic and oil are added to fix and deepen the composition, contrasting matte and lustrous finishes across the two panels.
Stretched on a solid wooden frame with carefully finished 4 cm deep edges — no frame needed. The diptych arrives ready to hang, signed on the back, with a certificate of authenticity. Packed with maximum protection for safe shipping.
