"I don't imagine red, I become red, my mind links it back to passion, and it becomes a full-body experience.

It's only when you look deeper that the colour emerges as being imbued with other connotations: red is fire, strength, vital energy, flames, vibrations.

My relationship to colour is highly intimate, it's as much a part of me as the skin on my body. It is powerful and emotional, taking over my senses while leading me beyond the everyday."

In this intimate exchange, each line that exists between the work and the artist has a story, thoughtfully placed with each stroke and nuance important in their own right, in a harmonious study of the blank spaces of the virgin canvas, and the exuberance of a very first line.
