this work is the latest in my Jazz series. It depicts the late, great Gerry Mulligan who I'm a big fan of.
The painting is realistic and photographic in style using accurate brushwork on top of scumbles and washes. I really like the two sources of light in the picture and the moody dramatic stage atmosphere,
