A unique, multi-coloured lino print: one of a series of experiments in colour and technique, each of which is distinct.
The artist has created a lino mosaic, varying colour, pressure and position of the elements. Both the artistic process and end result echo and pay tribute to the construction of stained glass: a single linocut in black is the 'lead', holding individual pieces of 'glass' to create the image of a bee on a flower.
The final result of these experiments is 'Bee Mosaic', a limited edition of 5 prints which is also available on Artfinder.
Note: actual image size is 23x26cm, printed on cream Zerkall paper approx 33x43cm to allow for mounting and framing.
