Millions Apart (2023) Photograph by Serge Horta

This photograph captures that strange Hong Kong paradox: millions of people compressed together, windows everywhere, light everywhere, yet the night can feel profoundly solitary. The glowing windows and colourful streetfronts suggest countless lives nearby, while the quiet spaces between them evoke a sense of emotional distance and isolation.
