Unlike my usual realistic landscapes, where I carefully observe and depict the details of pine trees and forests, this painting was created with a palette knife, allowing the movement and texture of the paint to become an important part of the image.
Thick layers of oil paint build the landscape through bold, almost sculptural strokes. The contrast between the deep, dark foreground and the cool blue sky creates a strong sense of depth, while the luminous clouds introduce a quiet feeling of light and openness.
For me, painting is not always about faithfully reproducing what I see. Sometimes it is about expressing what I feel in front of nature. In this work, I wanted to capture the energy, silence, and emotional atmosphere of a landscape through the physical movement of the knife.
Although different from my more detailed realistic works, this painting shares the same underlying interest in nature, light, and the moment of pause that a landscape can offer.
