Measured Grace (2026) Original Oil Painting by Paul Hardern

Original Swan Painting by Paul Hardern
Measured Grace is an original contemporary swan painting that explores the balance between movement and restraint. Captured in a moment of suspended motion, the swan becomes a symbol of composure within change — where energy is shaped, not released.
Built through layered textures and a refined palette of bone whites, soft greys, muted teal and subtle violet undertones, the painting carries both atmosphere and depth. The wings suggest motion, yet remain unresolved, allowing the viewer to complete the moment themselves.
The darker, weathered background contrasts with the softness of the subject, creating a sense of emergence — as though the form is appearing through stillness rather than breaking from it.
This piece sits within Paul Hardern’s evolving body of work focused on mindfulness, emotional balance, and quiet strength, where wildlife is used as a vehicle to explore internal states rather than external drama.
Ideal for contemporary interiors, Measured Grace works beautifully in calm, neutral spaces, bringing a sense of movement without disruption — a visual pause within a room.
