Original artwork description:

Golden and Liquidex pro acrylic colour on thai handmade mulberry paper(kada sa) , deckled edges, 9.5 x 13in., 24x 33.5cm
Abstract. Every now and again I decide to work with this amazing thick parchment paper. Compact in size, it allows me to express one moment, one thought. Inspired by the covid era we all went through … and the face mask. The rest is for your imagination. There are 5 versions, here is the next one. The colours are applied in varying thicknesses for a creamy texture on the parchment paper.
Painted on a traditional mulberry paper handmade in Thailand. It’s a thick parchment like paper, strong, yet pliable. I have the paper made to this size to get the deckled edges which adds to the textural effect. The close up picture is to get a better feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting. Then there’s the work in progress. And that’s me with the artwork for perspective. Interested to have your idea painted in this style? Contact me.
Please note that you can purchase up to 3 paintings of this same size or smaller to be included in 1 order and pay only 1 shipping fee.

About framing.
When considering framing bear in mind to not cover up the deckled edges. This is one of the specialties of the painting, one of its charms. It is best displayed framed with a cut mat board around the painting so as not to cover the edges, thereby putting some space between the art and the glass and bringing depth to the framed art. It can also be framed simply with backing board and pressed with glass over the front without causing damage.

Materials used:

acrylic colour, handmade paper
